Children 18 and under receive a voucher to return for a FREE comprehensive exam, x-rays, sealants and up to $100 of additional care.

2024 Results

On Friday, February 16, 2024, Roseman University College of Dental Medicine provided free dental screenings and cleanings to a record 827 Salt Lake County & Utah County children.

  • 64% of our patients presented with 4 or more carious teeth.
  • 49% reported that they have no dental home.
  • Of the patients that reported, 37% said that it had been over 1 year since their last visit.
  • Of the patients that reported, 42% qualify for free lunch, which means that they come from families which earn less than 130% of the poverty level ($36,000 per year for a family of four).
  • The cost of the dental work that was provided at the event and through the vouchers distributed amounts to over $744,000.
