2024 Results

On Friday, August 2, 2024, Roseman University College of Dental Medicine provided free dental screenings and cleanings to a record 793 Salt Lake County & Utah County children.

  • 69% of our patients presented with 4 or more carious teeth.
  • 52% reported that they have no dental home.
  • Of the patients that reported, 40% said that it had been over 1 year since their last visit.
  • Of the patients that reported, 40% qualify for free lunch, which means that they come from families which earn less than 130% of the poverty level ($36,000 per year for a family of four).
  • Not to make it about the finances but the cost of the dental work you provided today and through the vouchers we distributed amounts to over $713,000.  That’s money that stays in the pockets of these families that they can use to feed, clothe, and shelter their families. Think of what that means for a family of four making $36,000/year.
